Ukrainian entrepreneurs Veronika and Yurii Kunytsky turned their dream into a brand that redefines beauty standards, offering cutting-edge solutions with a personal touch.

In an exclusive interview with BESTIN.UA, Veronika shared the inspiring story behind love epil, her professional journey, the challenges and rewards of managing a family business, and the vision that continues to drive their success.

Veronika, your story and the creation of love epil are incredibly inspiring. How did the idea for the brand come to life?

— I’ve always dreamed of running a family business. My husband was focused on his own ventures, but I kept encouraging him to collaborate with me. Eventually, I convinced him - he believed in me and in my vision, and that’s how love epil was born.

From day one, we dreamed big. We wanted to build an international brand, so we chose a name that would resonate globally - love epil. As the saying goes, “The name defines the journey”, and our journey has been one of love, innovation, and a relentless drive to set new standards in the beauty industry.

 

The beauty and self-care industry is highly competitive. What sets love epil apart?

— Everything about love epil is unique - from our exceptional team to the advanced lasers we carefully select for our studios.

Many beauty businesses are started by people with financial resources but no industry experience, or by professionals who lack business expertise. What sets us apart is the perfect balance: I bring years of experience as a beauty professional, and my husband contributes his business acumen. Together, we created something truly magical.

 

What is the unique “hook” that keeps clients choosing love epil?

— Our secret is simple: we deliver results.

Every member of our team is committed to ensuring that clients see tangible progress. We’ve built a comprehensive system to track and monitor results after every procedure, ensuring effectiveness at every step.

But it’s not just about results - it’s about the experience. We pride ourselves on providing a warm, five-star service, where clients achieve their goals quickly, comfortably, and with confidence. This combination keeps them coming back.

 

What was the mission behind love epil when you started?

— Laser hair removal has often been viewed as an uncomfortable procedure. Our mission was to transform that perception by making it not only effective but also enjoyable.

We studied with leading laser specialists and technologists to develop painless protocols that deliver incredible results.

Today, with client satisfaction and an NPS exceeding 95%, I’m proud to say we’ve fulfilled our mission: to create laser hair removal services that clients truly love.

 

How do you skillfully balance commerce with high ideals, especially as a female entrepreneur?
— I don’t see a contradiction between the two - happy clients and employees are what bring us true joy and satisfaction.

At love epil, one of our fundamental principles is that money is not the cause, but the consequence. 

Our focus remains firmly on our values and ideals. By staying committed to these principles and delivering excellence, commercial success comes as a natural result of our efforts.

 

Your professional journey must have had its standout moments. Could you share one particularly memorable experience and explain why it stands out?
— In the earlier stages of my career, my proudest moments were seeing the amazing results my clients achieved. Today, what truly stands out are the successes of my team and the milestones we’ve reached together.

Some of the brightest highlights include:

  1. The launch of our first three studios, which marked the beginning of our international network.
  2. Expanding into exciting new markets like Spain and Germany.
  3. Collaborations with renowned companies and individuals across industries and countries, including partnerships with celebrities, PR experts, and marketing professionals.

Each of these milestones represents growth, innovation, and the incredible teamwork that has fueled love epil’s success.

 

Combining a family business with personal life is no small feat. How do you maintain harmony while working with your husband?

— For me, it feels completely natural. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs - my parents worked together, commuted together, vacationed together, and always seemed happy.

They managed to build a business and a life in perfect harmony, and to this day, they’re still thriving. That balance feels organic to me - it’s the only way I know how to live and work.

 

Opening new studios is a major decision. What criteria do you use to choose new locations, especially internationally?

— Before opening, we analyze key factors like market capacity, target audience demographics, and purchasing power.

Our ultimate goal is to open a love epil studio in every city across Europe and beyond. 

Expanding to new cities and countries is not a matter of “if”, but simply of “when”.

What do you believe are the key factors for success in business, especially in the beauty industry?

— The key is to understand your clients – know exactly what they want and give them what they truly need.

Success comes from finding the perfect product-market fit. There’s no magic involved - it’s about listening to your audience, adapting to their needs, and delivering consistent value.

 

Many young women look to you for inspiration. What advice would you give them as they start their entrepreneurial journey?

Fight for your vision and never compromise.

I remember opening my first salon in Kyiv and making every possible mistake along the way. But I never gave up. There will always be people and situations telling you, “It’s impossible”. But success comes to those who persist, believe in themselves, and refuse to quit.

 

Looking back on the start of your brand’s journey five years ago, what advice would you give your younger self?

It might sound bold, but I truly believe we did everything right and at the right time. Every step, every challenge contributed to where we are today. I wouldn’t change a thing.
